Fritz Henkel (February 26, 1875 – January 1, 1930) was a German entrepreneur who founded Henkel AG & Co. KGaA in 1876. The company initially manufactured adhesives before diversifying into a wide variety of household products, including laundry detergents and hair care products. Fritz Henkel is credited with pioneering modern marketing techniques, including the use of brand advertising and celebrity endorsements. Under his leadership, Henkel AG grew into a major multinational company with operations in more than 120 countries. Fritz Henkel died in 1930, but his legacy continues to shape the company he founded.
